CGB-EAA. Samuel Chauncy MALTBY, b. July 17, 1792 (John 5, Sam.4, Sam.3, Sam.2, Wm.1). m. June 2, 1819, Ruth COLLINS, b. June 17, 1793; d. Nov. 19, 1871, dau. of Daniel and Eunice (Rosseter) Collins of North Guilford, Conn. He d. of fever Mar. 1, 1829, in early life, and his widow resided in the ancient home.

Northford Church Records give: "Received into the church, March 27, 1814, Samuel C. Maltby." His wife was admitted to the church by letter from North Guilford, July 3, 1819.
